actually, traction control is not something that keeps your tires gripped to the road better than they usually would. If your car senses that a tire has lost grip, in a more advanced control system, it will stop sending power to that wheel and send it to the other or others depending on 2wd or awd setup. In a Z06, there are 3 modes of traction control. On, Off, or Competition. The competition mode lets you break the tires lose on the acceleration so that you can get a better launch, but if you break the rear end lose around a corner, it will kill some power to bring it back in. Now, on a mercedes for example, the sl65 amg, the traction control system is much more advanced, and leaving it on will give you a better launch. Without it on, 738ft/lb of torque would be leaving marks in the pavement. So, traction control is beneficial in a few different aspects of racing.

Traction control or not, MSRP of almost $200,000, who the f*ck cares, if you got the money, spend it!! Sh*t, 11.69 on some stock tires is VERY impressive. There will always be some haters, like the ones who hate on the Bugatti Veyron. The bottomline about these whiners is that they're jealous they can't afford one.
SL65 = Sexy street beast!!
