Seems to me that the 599 starts 3/4 of a car length ahead and get pulled on hard. The benz must be a better TQ maker. With power that close and from a slow roll, TQ will play a part. I would like to see the same test where the other variables would take place. A 60 mph roll would be a good test to see, powere to weight, aerodynamics, gearing etc..... I would think that at higher speeds it would be more of an even race.......drivers being skilled the same as well.

i think id rather have the 599 v-12 na engine. and 01 the merc is auto soo you cant really **** that up

Didn't think that the merc would be faster, but I agree with 01mmmz28, i also think that it would be more even in greater speeds..
I would like to have either car. An SLR roadster would be cool
