Jason Plato gets his hands on the £230,000 Brabus Rocket, the fastest four-door on the planet, and takes it to one of the few places on Earth where you can drive as fast as you want. Really how safe are the German Autobahns at high speeds?

Originally just a humble Mercedes CLS, the rocket has been tuned to give it more power than a Pagani Zonda. The 12 cylinder twin turbo 6.3 litre engine, pumps out 730 bhp, will reach 0-60 in under 4 seconds and has a top speed of 227mph. Our car was limited to 217mph, but it should still reach 0-120 in just 10 seconds!

Brabus CLS Rocket the fastest coupe in the world with a top speed of 362km/h and a price tag of 400.000 euros.

This video covers some of the actions taken to turn the Mercedes CLS into the Brabus CLS Rocket which features an impressive 730 bhp v12 under the bonnet.

The speed from 0 to 60 mph is 4 seconds which far from the fastest cars on the market but for a coupe which seems pretty comfortable this is a very good time.

In this second part about the Brabus CLS Rocket we get to see it against the Audi RS4 and I have to say that the CLS Rocket is not all that much faster then the RS4.

There is also a short clip from the record breaking test drive which took the Brabus CLS Rocket to 362 km/h.
