Default Sonoma's getting a 350

Mostly posting pics with a little info, got questions ask away!!!
Picked this up from a buddy almost complete for 300bucks. Plans are nothing crazy but to have a little fun and get rid of that horrible 2.2L. Some plans in the works are: gear drive, P&P heads/intake, Some headwork with valves/springs and whatnot, 700r4 trans.. Gonna keep this as clean as possible, and paint scheme will be black and billet to match interior and outside of truck..
Day i got her home:

Was planning on taking my heads/intake to Rockford Racecraft "syclone/typhoon builders" since there about 10 min away, but my buddy called and told me he would hook me up with some parts.. So the P&P will be on backburner for a bit.. But heres where i left off tonight:

im hoping so.. Its not going in till winter, so that gives me plenty of time to do everything right and make it look good. I cant do anything crazy since ill still be running the stock re-end, but im sure it will be fun for the streets.

If you can swing it Vortec heads are good, they are pretty much the best flowing production heads for the sbc. You will have to get a different intake though. A place called Rockford near you has them for $60 a head.

well im kinda lost right now with what i should do about heads. I took it to a shop where i got my old heads Port and polished. he wants 440$ to check for cracks, deck them, and clean them.. That DOES NOT include a P&P.. I asked about the intake and he said 75$ just to clean it. So i dunno right now... but some good news, look what i picked up today, i sure do love billet
