Hi guys , after a request from the picture forum i add a project thread about my new Volvo 240 turbo.
My new project. Yellow danger is sold and this project has been named . Ghost Why???? Because it is....a ghost. A nice 240 that took a lot of prices in the middle of the 90s Engine : B230FK 97 Gearbox : Borg Warner from rearwheeld Ford Sierra Cosworth Exhaust : 3" from turbo and back Estimated : HP 300> Ignition : VEMS Rims : 19" Supertstar Grendeur Spilt whith 235 35 19 Dunlop Tires Interior : Not desided yet Multimedia : Not desided yet Exterior / Styling : Not desided yet A few pictures The car as it was 1997 ![]() When a bought it it look like the Volvo 240 God forgot. The engine was busted , the chassie was dented all over and there was a cykle speedometer in the dash etc. The original plan was 20" wheels and the car was broaden 3 cm on each side but lack of intresst and a yellow brick came in the way so 2003 i terminated the build. This was the car when i waked it from its 4 year old slumber in september 2007 ![]() ![]() ![]() The car have found its way to the garage for some maintenance ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() On the 15th august i took it home again after 8 months in a barn Started to clean up under the bonnet and remove all there was ![]() The former owners had done a poor paint job. The paint fell off when i cleaned it with sponge and water. ![]() ![]() The new rims 19" 8,5" ![]() Next is to remove the borg warner gearbox and sand blast the engine room and then remove the axels and suspentions and turn the car on the side to fix the rust and all the wireing under the car. The gearbox is gone and will be cleaned and painted
This is the before pictures... After pictures comes next weekend i hope ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() bought new breaks. XC90 breakes . Brand new ![]() ![]() Main Brake cylinder ![]() washerfluid ![]() coolant tank ( thanx vee_que ) ![]() Main Fuelpump ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And the engine that will be cleand and prepped and painted , that goes for the turbo to. ![]() ![]() Some new pictures. The plan is to put it together so i can see that it all fall in place before i send it to the paintshop ![]() A new white bumper :lol ![]() Dark picture from behind all the metal is new. ![]() Start to look lika a car ![]() New flathood on but it had a few dents when i unpacked it but i will fix them before going to paint ![]() New rim on place ![]() unfortunately the rim is a little bit to wide with ET4. I have to use spacers 20mm to get it cleared from the brakes. ![]() In time this will be fixed , first................... ![]() The breakes. The rim where not cleared with the original breaks so i had to change them ![]() With 240 Breakes and 20mm spacers ![]() XC90 breakes without spacers ![]() A picture on the breaks and rim together ![]() all for now , more updates later on |
