Been awhile since I been on here.
I attended a practice day at Wakefield Park some time ago and had the rf JIC coilover let go. Oil everywhere. Still managed a 1.13 on cheap shitty road tires so still very happy. Decided to get some standard style struts for it. Standard style but with Ohlins 32 way adjustable dampers! Anyway as good as all this appeared, when I fitted them we noticed something really not good. With both struts in place, set the same, the left wheel has a substantial amount of positive camber. Seems we have something majorly bent. The chassis. The car was iinvolved in crash, which I knew about and had been on a jig, but apparently wasn't repaired correctly. So at this point I am intending on stripping the car. The engine/box/computer/fmic/fuel system wil be fitted to my 1st Gen 7. Along with a T04z. The rest of the car will then be sold to a mate who will then use it as a track car, or it will be completely stripped and the good bits sold off. With good adjustabe strut tops (as on the JICs) the bend can be compensated for so as a track car it is still ok, just not perfect and not worth spending big money on. Not a real nice end but this was supposed to only be a stop gap car until I finished the 1st gen. Now I have two good engines, the 13bpp full race na engine and the 13bt out of the fc!

Haven't been on here for awhile!
After checking the car over I decided to keep it in one piece and fix it up a bit. I have a mate who is a spraypainter so it's currently at his work getting a coat of jam. Same dark grey, but with a heavier metallic and purple pearl. My wheels are going to a refurbishing place in Melbourne tomorrow. Hopefully they'll come up ok! The panelbeater at my mates work has straightened the front end up pretty good so it should be looking good once completed. Before all that I was still using it at track days. The last day out I had a major brake failure. The master cylinder let go and I nearly cleaned up a mates uncles R35 GTR. He had just passed me and I was trying to keep up. No worries in the straight but the cornering of the GTR was unreal! Anyway, so I had a 160kmh ride across the grass, airborn and bit of a spin before stopping. Hopefully the paint will be done in the next 2-3 weeks. Then I send the master cylinder away to have a stainless sleeve fitted. Then its a matter of getting it all ready of a roadworthy and rego!

It made 210rwkw- (~285rwhp iirc). Turbo not the best apparently. Speaking of which I've also picked up a t4/66 with a 1.00 exhaust housing which will be fitted somewhere down the track. Got a few other things I want to do first but at least its a bolt on job! A mates car with very similar power ran 12.2!!! I don't expect that sort of time but if I ran a 12'd be happy....for now haha!
