Nice car Sev, I do have a soft spot for Rx7's and that one is a nice example.

Righto all. Had my car dynoed on Saturday. Bit lower output than I was hoping for but what can ya do.

Ended up making 210rwkw/283rwhp. Was hoping to make over 300rwhp but turbo just isn't big enough. My tuner said we could wind more boost into it but I wasn't so keen on that idea as I tend to drive for longer than 400metres- 1/4mile.

Took it out to Winton again yesterday and it was pretty good. Not to many cars were able to drive away from me in a straight line. Couple of 300+rwkw Skylines and the odd full race car but that was it. I was happy I could pull out and reasonably easily overtake my mates mildly modified 6litre ute! 300kw odd but 1900kg vs my 210 at wheels and 1200kg. Pity those cars are so heavy...or good for me haha! Now for some full slicks!

Haha, I've got two dyno vids on my phone. I'll see what I can figure out. The sound goes s..tty when it comes on boost though.

Can't remember if I mentioned it or not but me and a mate went halves in one of those Go Pro Hero digi video cams that you can put anywhere on your car/ bike/ jetski etc. Hopefully get some footage with that soon.

bigger injectors from rc will unlock of hidden power out of that rotary if you get a good wide band and tune it properly, i helped with 1000cc primaries and 1200cc secondaries on my buddies swapped convertable fc and she was around 300 plus a few

this is his but in a joke form because i did it lol---

had the t. engine swap n some other goodies but i have the real wheels now lol

^^haha thats awesome. Good looking car to!

I've already got the 1200 secondaries. The tune is what I would consider very safe. With more timing and leaner mixtures I know there would be 300 there quite easily. Very rich up top end. No chance of lean out anyway! As I mentioned I do quite a bit of track work so I wasn't willing to push it to the maximum or wind more boost into it. A more efficient turbo (t04z!) will be the next big improvement when I get to it...if I get to it! Oh and the decel is set very rich for nice flames haha! Love it!

Two things I forgot to mention also. 1- we had some traction problems on the dyno. struggling to get the wheel speeds up, ie should have been reading 200km/h in 4th but most of time getting 170odd km/h. Did manage a few runs with somewhere near correct wheel speeds. Thought it may've been the clutch but a day at the track proved it wasn't. 2- The dyno does read lower than many (it was a hired dyno which the tuner has used quite a bit) He said his old one (prominent rotary workshop in melbourne) seemed to read a consistent 10 or so rwkw more... so it's possible I have the power I was after but either way I'm still fairly happy. For comparrison my mates car- same engine (well s5t instead of s4t) but with a t66 made 228rwkw- 305rwhp @14psi on the same dyno on an extremely safe tune due to timing issues.

Anyway I'll probably be taking it to an 1/8th mile track on Sunday. This will be just for a bit of fun. Not much of a performance gauge as the track is only used 3-4 times a year and has no rubber down or traction compound.

And it looks like I'm probably doing at leat 3 six hour events this year- Wakefield 6 hour, Phillip Island 6 hour and Winton 6 hour... Should be fun!

^Thats pretty impressive. I would tend to think that its nearly to lean in cruise mode knowing how much fuel these things tend to use. Couldn't say how mine goes on the road fuel wise as it's currently not regoed. If I put it on the road I'll grab my mates wide band (Innovate) for some cruise tuning.
