i was messen with my car today ,messed with the timing a little i dnt know if it made it beter or worse lol. i cant get the tps go above 90. the highest i can get it 86, is this caused by the timing being off. or iherd sometime u have to shave a little plastic off the tps so u can get it that far

the tps has nothing to do with the timing.
drill out the 2 screw holes a bit. so you have room to play with it.
finger tight the screws in place, then set it to .098.
tightened down.

^^^Exactly you can adjust the screw to the desired TPS voltage:
Closed Throttle can be anywhere between 0.6-1.0 volts
Part Throttle is triggered @ 0.04 volts above Closed Throttle
Full Throttle is triggered @ 2.71 volts above Closed Throttle
but in this EFI system the TPS does affect the timing curve and A|F ratios as an inmidiate response, later on the MAF, O2 and knock sensors take over.

yes because my old tps was stuck at 2.7 and that solved most of my idle hanging problems. . now im trying to get this power i lost back. i think i made it worse when i changed it today lol. it has tones of power down low now but up top it brakes up. would tps being at 86 effect the power at al because it seems to be slower when i floor it. i should jus put the intake from the old engine on this shit

its down to bareblock right now didnt get to get pics. gota do some messurements this week and hopefully it willl go out to the machine shop too. looking for headers x pipes, susption and intake now. trina decide if i wana put gt40 heads and shit on it or just keep the rebuild stock for now

Yeah get the gt40 heads, they flow better than the E7s,with a better exhaust system and better intake you should think about another camshaft as well.

the other engine needed a new crankshaft so i decided jus to pull the one that was in my car and rebuild it ....
