ok so making alot of progress past couple days. upper and lower intake off, all i gota do is pull off the heads and do all gaskets. hopefully getting headers next week to put in at the same time, and a h/x off roadpipe. tthen i gota throw my electric fan in , its ben sitting here awhile. anyone know where i can buy the stuff to wire it with

well today i got the heads off and shit, its down the the blockk..... everrything was so ****en dirty and slimey from the ****en coolant in the oil its nasty. anybody now what i can wash it down with or spray it down. my vauvles and pistons seem to have alot of build up on them.... ill get pics tomorow. i am hoping i dont need to take the heads somewhere to get them cleaned and shit. awww ****ing tired. tomorow i will be cleaning everything ehhh how fun

real does it matter what i use to clean my heads and pistons and block and shit like if i spray it with water. i got some pitchures i jus took. hjahah i went there to clean my heads and shit and i didnt even bringmy car keys so i gota wait tull another day. but on one side all the cyldiners look all different and the vauvles. what would thgat be from?the other side the vauvles are all a consitant colour. how do theese pistons look. they look burnt up to me but idk if its normal. they look good bad normal?

dont use water you cheap bastid. get some brake cleaner or equivalent with some rubber gloves and a brush or something. itll take all that shit off

dam son. the pistons and engine that came in my 86 was cleaner than that and it sat without heads or intake for god knows how long in the weather. before i bought it

edit: go ahead and pull those pos headers off while you got the room

yea its gona be a ***** to clean, there is no way to clean the pushrod valleys is there? the icky shit is still in there from the oil and coolant mixing. it was ****en nasty!!!! my pistons look burnt to hell what could that be from? its funny cuz my spark plugs didnt look bad at all. a little white esh nuthen really noticable
