Tint is done (35%). The guy quoted me $100 to also do the taillights, but that wouldn't look good with the stock rims, so I'll save that for if I ever swap them for black ones.

I thought about the S60R, but I limited myself to under 15k, and an S60R in similar condition would have run me 26k. That is more like trade-in territory, and I didn't want to trade in anything.

I go through cars like actors go through wives, so who knows, maybe next year I'll trade it on a CTS-V. The LS1 might get jealous though.

I would be happy in that car. Good buy. Looks good without the badge on the rear.
If it was me, I would eventually remove the front volvo slant on the grill as well as the badge.

That is one of the items on my list...a plain grill.

I would think the wheels will wait for a while (is that enough w's?)

I've bought a number of guns this summer, and am competing in several major IDPA matches all the way until winter. So with match fees, hotel and travel costs, ammo, ect., my play money is all tied up. The car works as is for now in its assigned job....daily driver.

I'm glad I like guns more than cars. Competing nationally in car racing would put me in the poor house quick. With guns it only stings the wallet a little, nothing a warm barrel won't take care of.

And how do you like it after you've driven it for a while?

Very few complaints. It handles very nicely and is well balanced for a FWD car, but it could really use a 6th gear to get even better mileage going 75-80mph, and with about 30 more hp I wouldn't have to jam into it so much merging onto the highway.

I hate that it doesn't beep at me if I accidently leave the parking lights on when I get out. I sometimes turn em on because its the only way to turn off the daytime running lights. That and the speaker system isn't great. It blew a right rear early on and I don't play my music that loud, or with alot of bass.
