okay got to it this week... made a metal plate for the EGR Valve which is not needed on my new carb and it was cuaseing a air leak which made my truck idle wayyy too high... and well got it on and it idles perfect... thinkin about getting a video of it idleing with open headers... do you guys want to hear it??
and i may as well do a walk around...
umm just got a horn for it so this weekend i'll do some tingkering.
i know by the spring i will be able to get it down to the exhuast shop and window shop so i can do a inspection on it.. (out of province) anyways tell me if you want to see it on video

Nice progress, how much was that carb? I rebuilt the old quadrajet on my '77 and was thinking about buying a new one

haha well i got a 600CMF edlebrock... just for the carb was about 300.. i think got a 20% discount (small town) and i had to get a spacer and some tubes and a air and gas filter total was probably around 350-400... canadian
i'll go and make a video right now... i'm bored and theres still half a hour of dayliight left

i made two just in case... sounds a little rough i know but what do you expect for 250 dollars?? there's one blet missing... so i need to fix that other than that the engine seems to be in good shape but thats what you get for a chevy the speedo only goes 99 999 so i have no clue how many km are on it but i'm guessing theres quite a few.
any suggestions on the paint??
it's primer now but i'm tyring to think of what would look good on it but something thats not on many trucks...

been getting th itch since all the snow's melting... been warming it up everyday and tryin to back it out of the snow, kinda fun with the open headers.
tuned it today so it idles just below 1 grand so nice a meaty.
got the horn in today. got a leak in one of the rad hoses. and i also think i have a small leak in the head gasket since the hose was smoken not sure though the rad fluid looks good. no white shit or anything in it.
i'm getting so antsy it's not funny. becuase i'm tired of haven to sneak around in my rents rides(chevy silvardo haulass) or my gf's moms ride(2005ford f-150 gutless).

so i was working on it today decided to fill the left gas tank up, turns out theres a hole in the bottom so yeah wasted a good amount of gas on the pavement... oh well
at least the right on works. for now
doing the exhuast tomorrow, then i need to do a bunch of small things before i get it inspected, i'll keep it updated, then some burnout videos and stuff.
it was fun getting it out of the snow.. my neighbors prolly weren't too impressed lol oh well

so i got the truck tuned with the exhuast on... sounds meaty and powerful. got the itch to take it out for a test drive... and for a old beater it goes good!.. thing spun out around every corner. and 4 barrel didn't even kick it for it to spin i was impressed, my friend who was helping me was even impressed with the power. not long before i get it on the road. this weekend i'll try and get some video or more pictures. anyone got some ideas for cheap performance upgrades? or even paint ect.. i'm tryin to wrap my mind around it, if i want a beater or a nice cruiser.
