My Miata runs 13.51 @ 102 1/4 mile

Well, my work co-sponsored a drag racing event down near Temple, TX. It was at the Little River dragway in Hammond. It's a 1/4 mile strip, and most of the high hp 700+) cars were having issues with grip. I was running a 7500rpm rev-limiter, which was making me shift to 4th about 10ft before the traps, so we raised it to 7800 so I could clear the traps in 3d. I was using my 235/40/17 RA1s and only change I made to the suspnesion setup on the car was to put the rear shocks on full soft. I didn't even lower tire pressure.

60ft - 2.1107

1/4 ET - 13.5139
1/4 MPH - 102.35

I didn't get video of this run cause the SD card was full.

I'll need some DRs or slicks for that. I think I'm gonna take a pair of Hoosier RR slicks next time I goto the drag strip. Should be as good or better than a set of DRs. Of course, I should be making 280whp next time, so I'll be aiming for mid to high 12s.

The best part of this is.....it's a Time Attack Car, not a drag car. It's going to a road course event on the 19th, and I'm looking to set the track record for a Miata.

No, they wont be. They will probably be better than a street tire, but the carcass on a RR tire isnt designed to flex for an optimal launch the way a DR will.

Well, dyno'd the car to see what whp it was making at the drag strip....

It made 210whp/186tq.
