. If it is a 2 rotor it is 2.6 liters and a 3 rotor is 3.9 liters. This has been covered in a nother post and I came out right. They rate it 1.3 liters because only one rotory is operating at a time and that space in that rotary is 1.3 liters but if you combine the liter size of both rotaries, guess what !! 2.6 liters. We dont say a 5.0 liter motor is only 2.5 liters because only half of the pistons are firing at once . Why do you think they call the 2 rotor and the 3 rotor both 1.3 liters. The way they figure their math is messed up and it is a 2.6 liter when a 2 rotor and a 3.9 liter when it is a 3 rotor no matter what they "rate" it at. Why do you think the 3 rotor cars have to race in the 4 liter classes? ![]()

turbocharged engine with intercooler Displacement (cc) 654cc X 2 Horsepower (PS/rpm) 185/6500 205 /6500 Torque (kgm/rpm) 25.0/5000 27.5 / 5000 By that 654cc X 2 i would think that it means 654 per rotor and by 2 it would be 1308. Hence the name 13b for a 1.3 liter or 1308cc. Also, the 2 rotor and 3 rotor are not called the same thing, a two rotor is a 13b for 1308 ccs and a 3 rotor is a 20b for 1308 plus a nother 654 for the added rotor coming out to 1963. and the four rotor is a 26b using the same mathematic platform. {{{FLEX}}} Thank you. My '88 non-turbo rx7 came with the same 13B that every other one did from '86-'93, yes they are 1.3l, 1308cc to be exact. My car stock produces apprx 155 hp, doing the math we see that 155hp/1.3l= 119hp per liter. At that rate your 5.0 should have about 596 hp. The Wankel Rotary engine are veri fine examples of German engineering and don't you forget it. Weed wacker engine????? Bet you they both drive civics.......
