That statement there is dilusional, all you ricers seem to think you have an inside scoop on shit, in this case corporate decision making, let me guess, your uncle's friend's barber's brother in law knows the president of Mazda and he told you this, and he also got you your car with a special engine straight from Japan that could smoke V8's, last half a million miles, and win Le Mans with a gallon of fuel.

.. this was common knowledge during the launch of the Rx8? just because you had your head buried ( and still do apparently..) somewhere during this time period does not make it any less true. :loser1:

They one their class, I don't think theres been a 300GT ever win overall from 500GT.. 200hp and weight differences++ make it unreasonable to assume it would.

the RA's have has a series of batch issues, because they are a Bi layer material the heat treating is a bit dodgy.. the company they had doing their seals back in late 04-early 05. they were over hardened and did do as you say.. since then they have changed the company and process of tolerances, and the super seals are new as of 05' with some substantial testing they have turned out to be a very good boost seal.. I've been using the RA's since they came out for aircraft and automotive use.. I was lucky enough to avoid the 'bad batch' of RA seals.. so far not pops and wear is pretty much on par in the aircraft and much better then OEM seals in the automotive side.. As for housings there is a company in Alberta here , (NOT JHB in Manitoba, they truly do suck ), that seems to have a very good process of resurfacing housings going on.

Rotorsaru wa- that explains the bad press that I've heard then.

There's a guy here in Aus that was advertising cermet coated housings. This is what was posted.

"We offer ceramic coated rotor housings that are proven to last up to 10 times longer than stock rotor housings. In addition to their outstanding durability, these performance rotor housings also generate less friction and help generate more power from your engine. We offer two different coatings, referred to as Cermet A and Cermet B. Both coatings contain carbide particles for wear resistance. Cermet A coating is the exact coating used by Mazda in the 24 hours of Le Mans winning 787B racecar. Cermet B is used in many Nascar and Formula 1 racecars including the Ferrari F1 team.
Our rotor housings are guaranteed to meet or exceed original factory specifications"

"The cermet A and Cermet B coatings are ideal for high performance street or racing applications. These coatings are highly recommended when using aftermarket steel apex seals or when using ceramic apex seals."

Now I'm not sure but I have a feeling he was sourcing to, or going to, from the US but that info wasn't given. I'd love to have my pp housings done but it all adds up. When do you stop? haha!

I'm not trying to start shit here, I would like to see some proof, show me documentation of Ford Motor Company's admission to making the RX8 shit to protect Mustang sales, not just speculation passed from one ricer to the next, unless you want us to believe you're a leprechaun, you can jump up, click your heels 3 times and your bullshit becomes "common knowledge"

LOL .. press release.. yeah, I'll get right on that. Right after Bush does a press release to say, ' nope we invaded Iraq because we felt like it.. there were no WMD..'..
No company is going to give out info like that in any official capacity, Are you new!? However I do believe their was at least article written about it in one of the big American car mags. do a search it's out there.. personally I didn't care enough to save a link for it from 4 years ago.
