I agree, it sounds mean. Imagine driving something like that. Craziness. N/A, maybe there's hope for the RX-8. I always imagined that the best rotories were turbo. That's cool.

Scoot I don't believe published HP numbers on that engine, I could be wrong. The 787b Le mans car had an R26b that mazda made. Scoot took 12a components and made a "23a." Mazda's engine made between 800 and 900hp and drank more fuel than a damn top fuel dragster.

Anyway, that scoot motor = the shit. Sounds awsome and I'm sure makes a pissload of power. I'd bet in the 500whp range.

the scoot fd running around in a tunning.

Scoot built it. There are a few shops around the world that can/will build 4+ rotor engines. I've heard there is a shop in Australia working on a 5 rotor.

i read an article on the car in import racer, the november 2004 issue, article starts on page 46.... the car rana a top speed of 203.3 mph at option top speed shoot out...

" in the end this 12A based four-rotor ensemble produces a targeted peak 475 hp at 8,000 rpm and 345 ft.-lbs. of torque at 6,000 rpm."

and to the 787b comment... all i was saying was that they both had 4 rotors so shut the **** up and dont be a *****

First off I wasn't trying to be a ****/***** just trying to keep bs from spreading, 2nd u said they used the same engine, I wanted to point out that they didn't. I was unaware of any published power numbers as I don't read import racer. Thanx for letting me know I was wrong on the numbers.

unfortunately the only video is of it reving at a stand still, I want to hear that engine when it's wide open throttle in 4th gear down a strait away. Engines sound a lot different (IMO) under load than when being reved in neutral. Still a wonderful sounding engine none the less.
