Quite an impressive car.
But I'm not a fan of the conversion, haha, I'm biased! Seems an expensive way to qo quick considering all the work required for such a conversion and the mods needed for an SR to go that quick.
It's different, I'll give it that!

Hmm I dunno. It wont play in my WMP. Also putting a pist-on engine in a rx-7 is kinda like putting wings on a train.. just dont make sense.

Good luck with the ls1 conversion. If thats your cup of tea, go for it. I could never do that though. Upsetting the balance of such a good car is just going to make it an evil handling, nice looking, odd sounding car, haha!

I like my cars to handle well- I try and compete in as many track days, sprint meets (autocross's) as I can afford- not many unfortunately. Rotary is the only way for my cars!

ls1 is not much heavier than the iron rotary.
my brother stripped the car's interior completely, radiator, and some engine driven parts, sound deafening etc. He weighed everything he has taken off just now. 121 kg !

Nice weight removal there!

I can't say Ive had the opportunity to try and lift an ls1 but I can lift a 13b easy enough (without flywheel!). Have done many times. I know the ls1 is light compared to the old 8's but there is still a lot of it there!

I love the RX7 with the Supra motor in it Think it was called the Supra7 or somethin

Oh and putting an american motor in a RX7 or any other Import for that matter is sacrilege!!!

WHO IN THE WORLD WOULD WANT TO MESS UP SOMETHING AS BEAUTIFUL AS AN RX-7. A 13B is much better then a sr20. You should of just put it in the nissan section.

Yea that guy (supra7) is a member over at http://www.fc3s.org. And as far as putting a V8 into a 7 its not all that much custom work and dont cost much if you can do the work yourself. Especially if you just carb it since you wont need a computer then and dont have to wire up a new ECU.
