Here is my engine in a mates car on a local 1/8th mile track. i was driving at the time. Sorry about the "rar" format. Can't do anything about it atm.
http://members.dodo.com.au/iaintarrant/wilby_drags1.rar or http://ausrotary.everestconsulting....ilby_drags1.avi The car is a Mazda 1300 (fa3ts) completely stripped. (and rusty) Engine is my 13b peripheral port- made 260rwhp/193rwkw. Runs a 48IDA Weber. Non turbo. On the same track this engine in my RX7 had run 9.0. This track gets used 2-3 times a year. No rubber down, no traction compound etc. Very green, slippery as hell. The 1300 times were around 1/2 second slower. Oh yeah me and my mate put it together on a friday night, tested it on his driveway sat morn and raced Sunday! Car sounds great though! Enjoy!

Oh yeah. No mufflers either.
My mate put a tramp rod in. Welded it to the heavy/large crossmember in the middle of the car, behind the front seat. It tore around the welds, like out of the crossmember, and opened up a gap in the floor about 4mm. This part of the car was solid and not rusty. Total cost for this project was $0! We had all the gear just sitting around.
