If you have the money I would stick the H22 in there. Just remember to stiffen your front springs for the added weight. (It's really not that much more).

well if i put in an engine in i don't want vtec to complicated to work with.

as the H22 i can bring it from a 2.0L to a 2.4L and get more power out of it.

and yeah i know already about stiffening the shocks as well as i have to put soemthing in the back to even out the weight of the car.

and the stuff you need to research is basically like if i want to do drag the H22 would be great. but if i want to race straight and curves then h22 wouldn't be so good. all these things come into factor. right now i'm jsut sticking to my pick up for power lol...

Research your engines buddy. The prelude motor will fit. They make mounts for them www.hasport.com . NO you will not have to even out the weight by putting something in your trunk. Stiffen up your front shocks/springs and you won't be able to tell you have a heavier motor in there. They don't weigh that much more and you can take curves easily. Just change your ECU for the vtec "complications". I know my Hondas.

i know the engine fits. i know i would have to change the suspension and i know i have to change mounts. i would also have to change (liek you said) ECU and a few other things. beleive me its been almost a year i've been researching this. and i agree with you if all is done right i wouldn't have to balance off the weight. but thanks for that site now i can read up more on it. thanks alot..

not really dude lol h22 has more hp and can be brought to a 2.4L engine which means you can take alot more power from it. but hey its not the engine its how the engine is done.

It's all a matter of opinion. Check out www.automotiveforums.com their honda/acura forums are highly active and you can get all kinds of info there.

More power than a h22a though?? A b18c?

B18c (Acura GSR) - 180 hp & 126 torque 1.8 liter
B18c (Type R) - 200 hp & 134 torque 1.8 liter
h22a (Prelude) - 200 hp & 161 torque 2.2 liter
h22 (Prelude Type S) - 220 hp & 153 torque 2.2 liter

........Torque is what pushes you down the road.
Not trying to argue, just posting some facts.
