Well you need them to improve traction, ever wonder why you get better traction when you make your FWD car rear suspension stiffer?.When a car experiences accelerations a change in weight distribution happens, if you turn to the right both left tires will take more weight than the right ones, if you accelerate forward the weight transfers to the rear tires, this is why you can make wheelies with RWD applications, as a large % of weight transfers to the rear tires to improve its traction.
In that Civic... with those wheelies he tries to prevent this switch in weight distribution to happen in order to maintain the maximum possible traction in the front wheels.
I think that there are another gains for having a larger wheelbase but I am not sure.

Thats a fast Civic, the trap speed is insane...

honestly hes been trying the wheelie bars not so much for the launch weight distribution but the fact that he was blowing the tires off at the top end of the track in 4th. those bars sort of keep that under control a little bit. theres quite a few reasons for them. thats just one. MCA said it good enough though.

Very interesting Mr. Bond.... So it's sorta like when I floor my shitty Prelude and the front end jumps up because the rear (and the rest of the suspension) is too loose except (I'm gonna guess that car in the vid has somewhere around 700-800hp, if not more) So the car in the vid is dealing with a lil over 4x the force. At 1st look i though it was some kind of joke TY for explaining guys, makes alot more sense now.

close, 870whp. heres the dyno sheet and the vid i took while it was on there. im the one standing on the drivers door well lol. need the big guys on there to attempt to add some weight to stop the spinning and moving. and the camera man was standing on the front straps so thats why its bouncy when he gives it some gas lol.
