Um...the company that tuned the car is called Power House Amuse, that is why the letters were capitalized.

Link wouldn't open for me, so I go off the title. and 289hp is weaksauce, even for a performance tuned 4 banger now-a-days.

For a S2000 (looks like it was stroked to 2.3l from the title), 289hp makes for a very fast road course car. Not everything requires a big peak hp number to be fast. Another good example is the Miata. Even a 120whp Spec Miata will give most cars a run for their money around almost any road course, and they have a crappy spec suspension setup. There is a reason why they don't run ITA or SM races with the American Iron Series, cause it's unsafe lapping all the AIS cars so many times in one race.

Yeah and didn't it say the weight of the vehicle was about 2600lbs?

2600lbs and almost 300hp isn't really something to laugh at around a road course. Especially in something that handles as well as the S2000.

I'd like one!

Looks like it belongs in the next transformers movie. I kept expecting it to sprout limbs, stand up and start singing and dancing "Its Raining Men". Chock-full-o-gay.

Yes, a miata is a good handling car, but dont overestimate its lap time abilities. What track and what results are you basing your assertion on? AI vs Spec Miata is a good comparison since both are essentially stock cars. In fact, most AI cars have to have to be detuned powerwise to meet the 9.5 hp/lb limit. Interesting to note that AI cars are lapping VIR 10 seconds a lap faster than the miatas, meaning that the miatas are getting lapped every 13 laps.

2007 Lap times
VIR Full Course

Btw. another reason why they dont run ITA/SM with AI is because one is run by SCCA and the other by NASAproracing.
