Fast civic, but "low boost" my ass. Any civic that is FI that runs in the low 11's and is utilizing a 2 step and line lock is serious business IMO. That guy was boosting (guessing ) somewhere near 25+ pounds of boost.

I agree 100%. I hate when ppl post a time, then add the disclaimer that it was on "low boost". The point is, if your car was capable of holding together for a pass on "high boost", then you would have done it.
Its like me running a 150 shot, which is the most im willing to go up to on the stock motor, and saying, well my times were on the "small shot" b/c I have the ability to shoot 200, even though i would probably grenade the engine... |

Do you know what kind of bottom end he has? What compression ratio he is running? Is the block o-ringed? Who built the motor? If not, you have absolutely no idea if 19psi is lowish for *THIS* particular civic. For all you know, 19 psi is all its capable of running

It said it was the second run ever on the "new setup". That being said you guys jump all over it assuming that it can't handle more. Assuming that it is a new setup he might just not have the "high boost" setup tuned fully yet so he was only doing the lower boost setting.

If its not set up yet for anything higher than 19psi at the time of filming, 19 psi IS the "high boost" currently then, isnt it? If its a shakedown pass, then just call it that and forget about the "low boost" bs which comes off as an pre-emptive excuse. Its a fast car (and will be quick one too once its set up right) as it is and doesnt need the disclaimer.
