lol tho 9k rpm sounds better then most flat sounding v8 cars that do 5.5rpm. IMO. not thinking about who is most powerfull.somthing that revs to 9k rpm is nice sounding IMO.power maybe not. but sound is good

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA ..............with a pro damn driver. average to above average drivers are still in the 13's pal....and for that price it should be much faster.

Oh and by the way.....the fastest bone stock LS1 was a 1999 SS 6 speed that ran a 12.7 in mid august in atlanta heat.....for what 1/3 the price.

bawhahahahahah good shot chris. see what these little folks who for one never drove a domestic in their life love to claim oh a v8 doesn't go past 5000 rpm................. blah blah blah, for one my stang will sit at 6100rpm all day long, i don't know what the lt1 and ls1 doesbut i'm sure it ain't 5k rpm. 9k rpm don't mean shit to me other then you can only make "power" that high in the rpm range....... yup that works real well on the street. torque baby. try some then talk to me.

oh and the other thing they like to say.... turbo is the replacement for displacement..... add a turbo to that displacement and just end you life now cause you have no chance.

they only make power that high up as they only use 2liter and its a 4 banger..and 200bhp.where a 5liter v8 stang makes 215bhp? and at low revs. pretty simple really a 5liter v8 would have alot more tourque but not alot more HP for the CC

^ well that N/A honda that makes decent power for a 4 banger way up in the rpm range is basically tapped out on a performance scale as far as N/A applications go. Now, with that 5.0L N/A making 215hp is really not that great, but unlike the 4 banger it has untapped potential. Give it a good E303 cam, trickflow heads, trick flow intake, plenum, pulleys, throttle body, headers, x-pipe.....etc....and you have a potent street machine. Fo a really cheap price at that, 5.0L aftermarket parts are dirt cheap and abundent.

9000 rpm isn't streetable imo, every s2000 i see driving the streets sounds like it is racing cause it is always reving out, my stock 5l is 225 hp... but a glorious 300 foot pounds of go baby go torque.
