but.... isnt the R34 a stickshift and the R35 have paddle shift?? and a 480hp machine isnt anything big. if anything thats the norm nowadays. the cars we build and roll around with are mostly 400whp and up. mostly hondas, srt's, evos, cobras, etc.

I will make the guess that it was aimed at me.
I have been in an R34 GTR (vspec 2 Nur) and it was still a twitchy car at the limits. Definately easier to drive than a similar powered rwd but it required alot more skill than the r35. I have seen the R35, clean in front of me, make a complete and total mess of a corner entry in the wet, and then see it straighten up and drive off (very un natural)- Of which the driver had very little to do with.(apart from the messy entry) 480hp isn't alot when the car is so heavy. Point in case- My FC RX7 with ~300rwhp ran neck and neck with a stock R35 at Winton (my local track) down the main straight. Overall the R35 was somewhat quicker (cautious driver- average conditions) around the whole track. But from 2nd-4th (rev buzzer in my car) we were neck and neck. As I said- its auto. I have no time for that. The computers have made the car fast to the point that most will be able to go quick. The need of 'real' driver skills has been diminshed. And for a bit of useless info. My mate has been in both my FC and his uncles R35 and readily admitted that the FC was alot more fun and a lot harder to drive quick. I have video of me and the R35 on the track (it's not great but it shows that I'm not talking rubbish) As for my driver skills. I would go so far as to say that I would be a better driver than 95% of the people on this forum (not that that is any claim to fame). Not being big headed but I do consider myself to be a good driver. PS I'd take an R32 GTR over any of the others!

And to add.
I never said it was garbage. I just plain and simple do not like it. I never argued it's performance. It is an awesome car, there is no doubt- but I do not like it for the way it's performance is acheived.
