haha na.just thought id leave that comment as sarcasm.i didnt think the heavy 599 would beat it.with less power and more weight then the zr1.i guess a enzo would whipe the floor with a zr1..?

I would think it not having spoilers and such makes it more aerodynamic than the ZR1.

I don't think the weight has as much to do with things once you get that high. Its all about aerodynamics at that point.

The weight did make a difference in the drag race video posted elsewhere, where the ZR1 pulled lengths on both the Ferrari and Porsche, with all 3 leaving the GTR behind, yelling for everyone to wait up for the fat kid.

i dont think the GTR should be in the same class as them..

isnt the ZR1 limited to 205mph?

That would sum it up for me on this one... I love top speed runs but there are only a few places in the U.S. that you can do 200+. The fastest I've ever driven a car was 165/170ish. Regestered 174 on a modded R1 and the speedo on my bike has seen 165 quite a few times. I was also surprised by the 599 and the GTR as well. Has anybody put one of those on a dyno yet?

I think its electronically limited to 205 and gear limited to 215 or so.

It is good bragging rights... I usually like to see 0-150-0 tests though. That being said, I was quite pleased to see a stock GM product break 200 FINALLY
