actually....I did flash the converter...it's a stock converter..not a very high stall, and the 60fts were 1.8-1.9s for all my runs, on drs or ps2s. The MPH shows potential, the ET shows that the car isn't getting the traction or launch it needs. The vette has made about 10 passes in the 125+mph range my last two trips to the track. The ETs haven't varied by more than a tenth. It's a consistant, strong pulling car that has the misfortune of a stock converter, stock 2.56 gearing, and a 51/49 over all balance with almost zero weight transfer on launch and still runs 11.3's and 11.4's.

it's ok...I'd rather have a lower ET than a higher MPH anyday.

The cam is a very mild one, I have the stats, but it's a custom grind my my tuner, Jeff at CAM, so I won't tell his secrets. It's a cam that would work great with a blower, though...I've thought of going that route but figured I'd hurt enough tires as is, with a blower on top of my mods, traction would just be a wet dream.

^ LMAO....good luck w/ anything from Jeff at CAM.......He is just one big fat fuk up. From making peoples tune to lean and burning shit up, to having his employees thrash customers cars during off hours......and CRASHING their corvettes...LOL....That guy and his shop are a fuking joke.
You want REAL performance, from a shop that has won many LSX shootouts and built the most powerfull N/A stock cubed LS1, then go see Ryan at RPM performance in Garner NC, that guy and his shop are top notch.

Well, you can say what you want, of course, but trashing someone's shop because you want to advertise for a shop you like is just silly. Jeff's shop has produced fast and reliable modded cars for years. I didn't come on here to promote his shop one way or another, but if you're gonna talk junk, I've personally raced dozens of cars from these so-called top notch shops in NC and SC and beat the crap outta them at the track and drove back home, a few of them didn't.I've had my mods for about two years now and not even a hiccup of trouble.Until recently, Jeff's shop had the fastest cam/tune only C6 and won an episode of Pinks with a customer's TA. FWIW, yeah a mech there several months ago screwed up and had an accident in a car that was brought in that already had tuning issues because another shop screwed up the owner's mods. Accidents happen, the matter has been long settled and the mech has been long ago let go. Move on. There's no reason to bash anybody's shop unless you have something to gain by promoting the shop you listed. |
