I'm not a Skyline hater, but I think the GTR is going to dissapoint all the hype. I'm positive the actual "out of the dealership" version isn't going to run anywhere close to the Nurburgring time the prototype did.

Leno isnt saying exotics are crap, but the enjoyment from the corvette is somewhat unique in the fact that they are real-world fast (i.e. pump gas, wide powerband, fully tractable at low rpms) and you can punish/enjoy them every day.

This trait is not unique to corvette; Porsche in also this category, as is Viper and a few BMWs. The ferrari's, lambo's etc are more on the glamour side. Fast? Yes, but there is a reason why you dont see many, if any, privateers successfully campaign them in any sort of racing series. If im wrong here, show me the evidence otherwise.

to me ferraris/lambos look like a bit of art.just the look/sound of them make people drewl and want one..there the best looking cars in the world IMO and to alot of others.and they happen to be fast.that makes it a exotic.the same cant be said about other fast cars in looks/sound..IMO.

lets face it if u had a 100/200k car u wouldnt drive it much.. i mean people with a 10k car have a beater car also.

I know waht your saying but if I owned a $100K + car i'd drive it everywhere, except in the winter. My Stang an averaging 12,000 mi per year and drive it 7months.
Theres no way i'm paying big bucks to look at my ride in my garage, and when it comes to selling it, (yes you'll get a few grand more for it) but what's the point? To make the guy that's trying to nickel & dime your ass happy?

well yer i would liek to think i would drive it everywhere. but cars that cost that money are special.and would be a weekend toy IMO.
