Im sorry to post this, but I've seen the vid so many times and cant stand it anymore. That car isnt pulling 1000 hp. Smoking the tires skews the number. My project 240SX pulled an astonishing 780hp as it smoking the tires. Once it was properly strapped down, it pulled a lowly 264 three times in a row.

Its pulling a ton a hp!!! It runs low 8's and should be in the 7's. With a car thats well over 3000lbs it needs to be making 800hp and above so it is making close to 1000hp. http://www.turbobuick.com/chris_chow_car.html
Also, ye sthe numbers could be scewed but not to the extreme of your numbers 700+ to 270's. The sbc alone is making 400+ hp

Im serious. i've seen it happen! Its kinda like supras running between 500-900 hp. They all run real close times. The GN cant overcome its aero coefficiant. It may well be into the 6-7-800 hp range. But not 1000+

supras are dyno queens and rarley pull off 7's 8's

the GN is a true 1/4 mile warrior...
supras are well known for other things

wrong answer

I OWN a dynojet 248c. First tire spin will show a LOWER reading on a dynjet as the dyno jet uses thes peed the drums are acelerated at to determin the power you are makeing and spining your tired lowers how fast the drum acelerates.

The only it MAY do is cause a SPIKE when the tires get hot and sudenly grab and cause the dyno wheels to sudenly jerk forward..

and that car wasnot smokeing the tire it was rubbing inside the WHEEL WELL you can tell because the smoke is only on a very small strip in the center of the tire

it also is not very impressive its a v-8 with large TWIN TURBOS sticking THROUGH the damn hood and dumps through cut outs in the damn fenders thats just gheto.

my driver makes 863 rwhp with a single t-76 and still has ac and a full exhuast ..
