Nope, no flamethrowers are present. He is just turning the wheels that fast, that the rubber ignites.

My bad then. Just thought it kinda looked like flamethrowers the way the flames were shooting out.

I heard the tyres were rubbing on the guards and thats why they caught on fire. I don't think the wheel speed had much to do with it considering other cars that go in comps do a better job.

ok. Have seen plenty of cars flame out their tyres on the way to blowing them. This is not a unusual thing here now, especially @ the Summernats or Supernats or Powercrusie, or Kandos where that one happened

Can't say I've seen it happen, but I don't follow the burnout scene at all. At Springnats I know Myers Mustang, Grays Camaro and the big block xt Falcon didn't catch on fire and they were spinning at full noise in top gear. If it did happen through pure wheelspin then that is a very good effort!

I had a screw in my tire once and people who followed me said it spit a bunch of sparks when the tires spun. So maybe he just put screws in his tires. lol jk

Saw Myers mustang @ supernats this year and Debbie Gray in the camaro do it last year and tony in the little green V8 escort as well

that was awsome but the firefighters were stupid i am a firefighter for HFD (Houston Fire Department) and if that thing exploded yea thats why you have a scba self contained breathing apperatus
