Yea that cam deff wasnt made for idle quality. High lift, high duration, zero idle quality.

Actually its surge caused by the mechanical fuel injection pressure regulating system oscillating. Its a common on mechanical FI but electronic fuel injection doesnt have that problem. The super charger doesnt have anything to do with the surge but it does add a nice sound to the already pleasurable sound of mechanical fuel injection.

On alchy and high boost that motor prolly puts out 1+khp and 900+ftlbs....give or take a few hundred :thumb: .

i think thats kind of conservative, more like 1500hp probably. Ive seen street tune boosted small blocks run 1200 hp on gasoline, much less alcohol. heres one example:
