Iroc's when not powerd by the Toilet Bowl Injection or Auto TPI/305's were the ****. Not much could run against them in their time, the L98 was pretty much the God of torque.

Not only that, but they were just about the best handling Pony car you could get in the 80's.

Worthy video as White and Black Irocs are sexy! Same for 91-92 Z's.

This is what unsuspecting people met when they found my GTA.

Only about 280rwhp or so, but about 420lb/ft torque and I could still pull to 5,500rpm thanks to the AS&M SS runners, and ported plenum. Ph33r my stock sounding L98.

I miss it so! But now I'm dropping in a LT1 with LOTS of chassis/suspension mods. Gonna handle sticky enough to permanantly screw up your balance.

Completely stock it dyno'd 217 hp, 320 lb/ft. Thats insane for a car straight from the factory and driven for 15 years.

Thats a good dyno on a stock tune. My buddies bone stock 91 L98 GTA put down 225rwhp and 315lb/ft torque. Ran a 14.4 @ 97mph with a 2.6 60 foot in 85% humidity and the track temp was 130* degrees.

Freaking STRONG car. Strongest I've ever seen. That car should do high 13's stock. Its a freak.

Another club guy has suspension mods up the wazoo, drag radial's, 2,600rpm Vig 9.5" stall, and the stock 3.27's out back and he runs 13.2's @ 99mph with bolt ons. All traction off the line. Helps his times alot. My car was actually faster on the street, but at the strip I couldn't make up the difference until the very end since I was all power and stock suspenison/tires.

I wasn't putting down Irocs. I was talking about the L98 engine, which comes in BOTH Iroc's and GTA's.

Since you want to insult me, your car will always mean Italian Retard Out Cruising.

Where as my GTA will forever be remembered as KITT, the 300mph bullet proof supercar. Also, it will forever be rememered with the 1989 Turbo TransAm indy pace car. I'll always enjoy a higher resale price, not that I'd ever sell it.

I wasn't insulting Iroc's, I was pointing out the wonders of the TPI L98 engine. I like Iroc's, I like 91-92 Z's, I like Formula's and TA's. I love thirdgens.
