Foxbody = Thirdgen. Its a drivers race. L98 vs 5.0 usually equal results.

as a former owner of 3 Irocs, I prefer my 92 LX 5.0 5 Speed with out a doubt.

just so you know, this is all in fun.
if the gta is so sweet then why didnt it win any scca trans-am championships? since the gta didnt win, who did?

oh, thats right, the camaro did... 13 times.

as for the foxbody, they are awesome cause you can make them real fast really easily. but! they arent heshian rock like the iroc is. the iroc is so rockin that when you think of jean jackets and marlboros you always incorporate the iroc (or a 2nd gen camaro). can you listen to white snake and smoke marlboros while leaning up against your 1986 mustang? i think not!!!

FoxBody Mustang = ThirdGen Camaro,

They were very close cars. Like the man said its a drivers race. Untill you start to mod the cars. I did not enjoy trying to make my 89 mustang stick to the ground the suspension geometry is horrable. My 85 Z needed gears, adjustable lower trailing arms, adjustable torque arm, & struts. My Mustang still needs torque boxes, larger axles. If i ever want to do anything other than straight line then ill have to get a new k-member new kmember lower brace adjustable camberplates and the list goes on. The car has responded very well to Nitrous but if im understanding some of the other guys if i make much more power i need a new block or this one will split in two. The everything on the 5.0 is so much smaller than the chevy stuff im used to the caps are small, the main studs are small. It just dosent seem as well engineered. What i will say though is it was easy to shave weight off the mustang vs not so easy off the camaro. I respect both cars for what they are good at, but prefer the camaro so far.

everything you said is pretty much true except for the block splitting in two and the smaller stuff. first off, the block is your last concern, have you ever seen a block split in half? i havent. second, the ford 302 has smaller journals than a chevy 350 but that doesnt mean its no good, smaller journals = higher rpm's. why do you think alot of the first gen camaro guys still have the chevy 302 in their cars? that scca camaro that i pictured above is powered by a chevy 302 bored out to a 310 with 18 degree heads and alot of compression. it put out 700 horsepower and revved to 10,000 rpm. over all if you are going to build a crazy all out race motor chevy would be a better choice, at least in my opinion.

Camaro all the way I would of kept it and dropped a LSx motor in it. Those cars handle great too with a few suspension mods.
