How are you doing, guys ?
I'm new here. My fist post. Here are a couple short videos of my 1962 Chevy Belair sport coupe. It's a prepared 409HP 409 Stock Eliminator ( NHRA D / IHRA E ) First video is with the camera taped on top of the rear package tray, looking out through the windshield. The day before heading out to the track for a time slip, I was out on the highway, getting her tuned up. Don't have a decent 1/4 mile video ( wife missed the launch... 3 TIMES ! ) The second video is a burnout in 2nd gear, out of the water. First pass, sea level adjusted ET... 11.45 @ 117 MPH ... still spinning out of the hole though. Car is good for 11.10's @118-119 The fastest / quickest Stock 409 of all time... by about .5 second ! http://www.bruneauperformance.ca/che...5roadtest.html http://www.bruneauperformance.ca/che...05burnout.html |

Thanks guys
Yeah Farmer, that's the problem with the video format. It plays directly in your browser, so your browser has to be able to support such a thing. http://www.bruneauperformance.ca/my6...2004lf1024.jpg Front end was lowered about 1 1/2" since this photo was taken Here it is loaded on my tow rig: http://www.bruneauperformance.ca/myb...dedleft720.jpg Here is the engine: http://www.bruneauperformance.ca/my6...leanerbase.jpg

That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan; retails for about one hundred nine, ninety-five. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right, shop smart, shop S-Mart! |

AHAH ! This must be the infamous "NX" ? !
I could tell 'cause you quoted "the song" :thumb: And you're right, I'm a Holley guy. Trouble is, she's a genuine qualified NHRA / IHRA Stock class race car... have to run orginal carbs, or accepted replacement of the same size and design. Took some doing to get the Edelbrocks through. Thanks Farmer... I know, she's not that fast... but OH YEAH, it DOES have a nasty sound :thumb: Here are a few more details: Canadian 1962 Chevrolet BelAir sport coupe, original Corona Cream paint. Fully blueprinted 409HP 409 ( factored by NHRA to 395HP ). Stock crank, stock comp ratio, stock lift mec cam, stock heads, stock intake, stock CFM Carter carbs. 423.3 CID. Aluminum flywheel, aluminum McLeod "Soft Lok" clutch. Custom built Jerico drag race 4 speed ( 2.83 1st gear ). Original 1962 Chevrolet/CDN Pontiac rear end with my own complete upgrade kit, including: 2nd upper control arm, steel bearing caps, custom made 30 spline axles.. 4.88 gears. Stock front wheels and tires. Rear are 14 X 8 chrome reverse with 28 X 9 M/T slicks
