saxo vts, with safety devices cage, group N suspension and few other bits.

I got the september issue of "Motor Trend" and they say the new z06 corvette did a 7:42:99 lap time on treaded tires. they rented the track all by themselves for an hour so maybe they were so fast cause they weren't any other cars around. they did four laps in the hour they had and the best time was set on the last one. they also give a list of other times to put things in perspective

the only production car thats gone faster is the carrera gt

there are faster production cars, but not in the same sense as the carrera etc. the radical SR3, the donkervort, and some others have all gone quicker. small time manufacturers, but still production cars.

Edo Porsche GT2 - 612hp/785nm

Time - 7:15,63 min.

There has been some discussion about if this is in fact a road legal car, since homologation of that big rear wing is kinda hard. It those look alot like a GT3RS from some GT championship.

0 - 100 km/h in ca. 3,5 s
0 - 200 km/h in ca. 9,5 s
0 - 300 km/h in ca. 22,5 s

that edo porsche, is firstly a full on race car. they stuck some road legal tyres on it and set a lap time. how does this car qualify as a road legal car?

If they can drive it on the road without having the cops stoping them every 500meters, than that record stands.

I also doubt if it is really road legal, but than again, what about the Radical SR3 that beated the record?

the radical is a fully road legal car.
