This is the first lap of my race at Virginia International a couple of weeks ago... I was pushing pretty hard, but still couldn't quite keep up with the national championship guys at the front of the pack. It was still a blast though!
If the above link didn't work, this one should: YouTube - Lap one at VIR

Its a Van Diemen formula ford steel tube frame modified to handle the wings front and rear. Engine-wise its nothing that impressive; just a 2 liter dodge 4 cylinder putting out about 140-150 hp. Even with that little power, in a car that light its good for 0-60 in right around 4 seconds and about 1.5g in the corners on a sticky track. It is a bit of a twitchy monster though, as you can see in the video.

Good times indeed... I run for points in the eastern championship, but I got taken out of race 1 when I got hit from behind under braking into the left hander at the end of the straight. Needless to say, a DNF in race one and starting DFL in race 2 wasn't exactly how I wanted things to go, especially given qualifying 6th on the grid for race one.
I've never seen one of those formula banshees before... What are they? Edit: the video guys just got me the footage from when I got rear ended... The hit was hard enough to shear the motor/trans off its mountings.
