what kind of crappy cars do the police drive in norway? They were almost having a hard time keeping up with a neon!

Peugeot 406 (like the one in the vid), Volvo V70 and VW passat.

Police in the districts can choose what car they need. Typical is Toyota SUVs, Surburbans, Mitsubishi Pajero etc.

Those who drive unmarket policecars are better off, Like Audi 1.8T / S4, Subaru Impreza WRX, Volvo S60 etc

Policecar speed is on the bottom on the right side. 204 km/h about 125 mph, is fast on dark mountain roads when it rains. The crappy neon even manage to go faster than that

Stock neons can go around 130 mph, so it's not like they were going slow.
