2008 Washington DC Auto Show - Pics + Video

Auto show was pretty good this year. For me the highlight was the Nissan GTR - really looks great in person. Porsche permitted sitting in one of their 911s - a rare treat! I liked it - nice shifter...felt like it should go fast!
I also really liked the new Miata - good visibility, and felt like you could drive it quick. The Audi RS4 was also nice. I like the new design of the Audi cars, they're attractive cars. Love the R8.

The new M3 and 1 series were also there. The M3 looks more plain than the outgoing model, but in person it looks great.

The 1 series looks better in pictures, but I still like it, and the numbers for it are great. I think it will be a fun car to drive, and it seems like it would be toss-able in turns.

Favorite car there was the R8, followed by the GTR. Why can't you get the GTR in a normal manual - dang!

Surprised that the STi and new EVO were no show.

I really love the way the R8 looks. I saw one on the road and was really impressed... it's even nicer in person.

where was porche? i was there all day sat and didnt see them?

Porsche was there. They even had an open yellow 911 you could sit in. They had an orange boxster with black wheels on a turn table, and a couple Caymens on display.
If memory serves, they were on the lower level - think they were near Saab.

Haven't seen an R8 on the road yet - they are very cool looking. The M3 is very understated - I like it.
