Default Forza Motorosports for Xbox

I posted this on another site, figure i'd post it here.

*UPDATE*

http://xbox.ign.com/articles/536/536945p1.html

HOLY SHIT!!!! ****IN' POKEMON MAN!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS GAME IS GONNA OWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This could seriously be Forza>GT4. Lets just wait, but like i said, either way i'm gonna own both.

Quote:
Every licensed car -- more than 200 total -- features full damage modeling
Yes ppl, DAMAGE!!!!!! Something GT4 has and will not offer.

I personally plan on owning both cause i love racing games. And I think both are gonna kick some major ass. But for some who are strictly Xbox, this could be a great alternative to GT4. I've seen that the release date is 11/16/2004.

Overview of Game(not written by me)

Want to know more about Forza Motorsport? It's the ultra-realistic, racing Xbox title due to hit store shelves this Holiday featuring incredible single player and Xbox Live multiplayer racing modes. And did we mention the incredible graphics? Not only will this game offer 150+ cars with complete 3D detail, but it will offer incredible 3D tracks to race on as well. It's the Xbox game you've been waiting for - in fact, it's the game we've all been waiting for: it's Forza Motorsport!

Make every car yours:
Collect models from more than 60 top car manufacturers, including Mazda, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Chevrolet, Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, and Dodge. Trick out sport compacts with real-world body kits, rims, spoilers, decals, side skirts, fender flares, and hood scoops. Add motorsport decals and team paint-schemes to supercars, GT racers, and exotics. Transform production cars into racetrack monsters.

Tune it up:
Take your car to the garage and install alternative engines, suspension kits, bolt-on superchargers, brakes, rims, racing slicks, and more. Fine-tune gear ratios, fuel-mapping, forced-induction pressure, tire temperature and pressure, and ignition timing for the ultimate setup.

Experience the most technically advanced driving simulation on Xbox:
Top automotive engineers teamed with experienced programmers to create an advanced physics engine for Forza Motorsport, designed to simulates authentic car performance. Cars incur damage and wear, which affects car performance. Advanced tire and suspension models respond to heat and pressure changes as well as weight transfer and aerodynamic load.

Drive in gorgeous track environments:
From the famously challenging Nurburgring Nordschleife to the spectator-lined streets of Rio de Janeiro, race on meticulously designed tracks with an incredible sense of speed and realism.

Check out the revolutionary A.I. Drivatar™ technology:
Train your own A.I. “Drivatars” to use the same racing techniques you do, so they can race for you in competitions or train new drivers on your team. Drivatar technology is the foundation of the human-like A.I. in Forza Motorsport.

Take online racing to the next level:
From intense multiplayer wheel-to-wheel racing to challenging individual bests and beyond, Forza Motorsport’s Xbox Live gameplay will deliver innovations that reinvent the online racing experience.

Enjoy a graphical showcase on the most powerful console:
Well-balanced reflections, lighting, and shadows tie together highly detailed cars and smooth-edged environments. Camera effects like blooming, lens flare, heat shimmer, light rays, depth of field, and haze create TV-quality presentation. Unique road textures, surface irregularities, persistent oil and skid marks, and scraped walls deliver an incredible sense of speed.

Confirmed Car List, more to be added somewhere around 150~200

Looks cool, but GT4 is gonna have waaay more cars, but we will have to see which is better . An advantage GT4 has is it has its own wheel I don't think the X Box even offers a wheel. playing car games without a wheel is kinda boring to me

I think they're both gonna kick ass. My prediction is GT4 is gonna be the better offline game and Forza is gonna be the better online game. I haven't played with a steering wheel.....yet. I plan on getting the DFP to go with GT4.

Likewise GT4 is already ordered and if Forza gets good reviews I'll get that too. You can never have too many racing games

The lack of Fords in that list really doesn't make me want to buy that ... i hope there are some changes before it's released ... otherwise GT4 here I come.

They're expecting about 200 cars, so that wasn't the full list. But hey suite yourself. I'll enjoy both games.

oh sht! that trailer makes it look good! but we'll hav to see how the physics adds up. NFS or project gotham is just not as good a racing sim as GT3 and GT3 is very old. but guess wat, the physics in GT3 are awesome that what makes it awesome.

Hell yeah this game is gonna be the shit, you can do engine swaping and paint your car however you want. S13 with RB26DETT here I come. and the best part: Xbox Live!!
I read a thread on an rx7 forum, where microsoft was actually asking members to send them pictures of their bone stock turbo fc's. they would then go and do a professional shoot on them and make the 3d models to put on the game.
