My buddy got waved-by by a 997 RUF RGT and a 997 GT3 at a local track (Motorsport Ranch - Cresson, TX). He was driving my 91 Miata turbo w/ 170whp.

the driver of the s2000 had abit more balls and knew the track better then the porkas.

Pretty good driving by the s2k guy!
Love it how that black porsche overtakes at the straight but then can't drive away from the honda and then screws up at the end..

kudos to the honda driver but if I had a choice over s2000 or 996/997 (any version) I would take the porsche every time

good driving in the s2k
all he needs to do is bump up the boost and he'd be able to own the porsches

i love s2000 i miss mine. i like my m3 more but... i wish i would have supercharged mine or something. i only went with basic mods (intake header exhaust suspension rims tires) but they are still amazing cars imo.

i bet that guy in the porsche is wondering wtf how is that 4 cyl. keeping up dammit

S2000 had a good driver willing to take risks and maxing the car....not saying that the Porsche drivers were not as good drivers but = Honda u smash? You won't sleep over it...if you owned a Porsche I don't think you'd take chances.

This goes with EVO and Subi drivers too

This is true some of the time. Sometimes the driver in the Porsche is not familiar with the track, the car, or not setup properly. My Miata (turbo'd, with a DAMN GOOD DRIVER) got waved by a 997 RUF RGT and a stock 996 Turbo at a local track. Plus he was all over 2 996 GT3s that were there getting a comparision between a stock GT3 and a RUF-modified GT3. They would pull him by 4-5 cars down the straights, and he would be on them in the brake zones and the corners. They were not taking it easy, they were going at 100%. Of course, the next session a 996 Cup Car was on the course, and it just LEFT the Miata in the corners.
