yer its a cool vid. i would of had a whole load of shit over the seats. lol

heres why it happend if u didnt see the title.

A small video of my car spining at the MLR 30-130 day at RAF Marham 03/11/07 - previous run of 182mph went fine, second run i removed the rear spoiler as it was bending alot at high speed; i hoped it would give me another 10mph, instead it gave me zero down force and zero stability once i came off the gas! Took a deep breath and held on until the ride finished!

Some stats from the V-Box data logging:

I lifted at 183mph and it only took 5mph for it to become unstable and went into a spin at 168 mph.

Maximum spin angle was 142.55 degrees at 114mph before starting to spin back the other way.

The spin lasted over over 330metres

he was lucky to have gone on the grass, otherwise he could have easily flipped over on the road with all the friction from the road...

jesus man i would have had a dog log the size of a sausage come out at mach 2 blowing right through the seats out of the car causing it to shoot in to the air flipping end over and ultiamtly destroying it along with me and my morals/values in life.

Well yes... No rear wing+trailing off the throttle+even the slightest turn at that kind of speed will do that to you. What kills me is the fact that he took off the rear wing thinking it would give him an extra 10 mph. This is a freakin' evo we're talking about, not some ferrari that was designed in a windtunnel. Did he actually think those kinds of speeds would be manageable without any form of wing/diffuser in back to hold it down? I'm glad he's all right and it doesn't look like the car got torn up badly, but wow.

well it does work taking them off. as ive seen it happen with GTR skylines with big power. 10mph is alot to gain from it. maybe a few mph it will take off this car.most of the 200mph+ skylines in comps here always take off there spoilers.

Of course it will give you a bit more speed... I'm referring to the lack of downforce making the car highly unstable; the referrence to ferraris or other supercars was to the effect that they have underbodies/body shells designed to produce downforce even in the absence of a wing. I'll show my ignorance here: are Vmax events like this fairly common in the UK?

yer i get u with the unstable thing.

vmax as in top speed ?. if so yer. we have 1 main competition with 3 differnt areas. top speed, handling course and 1/4mile times. best of all 3 wins. all in street trim tyre wise.
