Yeah you could be right, but Nissan's always followed and mimicked Porsche, to my knowledge they could care less about the GM and it's Vette.

"No one cares", I beg to differ, I'm pretty sure a few manufacturers are wondering why they are unable to build a car to beat it at that price, and that's why the Vette is used as a benchmark for comparison, yes there are 2 production cars that can beat the Vette around the ring, the Carrera GT and the Mclaren SLR and their is no shame in losing to those two, "get over it", get over what, I'm not the one with issues, you're the one that hates the fact that your beloved imports can't bang with a car that's a fraction of the cost, that's why you post stupid sh*t like the pic where there's a couple ricers in an EVO giving a Vette the finger, or analogizing the Vette with a fat chick, all I state is fact and truth and I know sometimes it's hard to accept but "get over it".

there are many cars that beat all of them as kit cars.and cost alot less.but ok there not production cars.like GM ferrari ect.

Let me put this amazing video to rest really quick because I just had a guy break my you know what for 3 days on Youtube.
Notice at between 1:00 and 1:08 where the lap begins being timed... and where the lap stop's being timed. This is the 26,600 m NS lap time, and is not used by the major manufacturers when claiming a lap time.... not Lamborghini, Ferrari, GM, BMW, Audi, Porsche, and supposedly not Sport Auto either.

The distance which is the true lap is 26,823 Meters, about 4-6 seconds longer then what is measured.

The lap is totally BALLS OUT.... but the timing is incomparable to the 911 Turbo's 7:40, the C6 Z06's 7:43, the GT2's 7:32, etc. etc.

Conservatively it puts it at 7:42 or high at 7:44 but since it wasn't an actual lap as per all the big manufactures including European's then we will never know exactly what the time would have been. While an impressive run, it is not one that will ever go into the record books. Believe me I have done my research and this Cat know now that you can't mess with some one who's job it is to do research for a living. I respect all power foreign specially but this is not in any way a true lap or an acceptable lap to put in record books.
