Here is a Police chase from last month in Ohio.

Watch it to the end. The first 3/4 may be boring, but the end well makes up for it.

Trying to run someone over is considered lethal force. He did die, hence the title "fatal shooting". Drugs and alcohol were found in his system.

I was quite ammused at the cop on the hood at the end shooting one handed for dear life hoping it would stop the guy.

He deserved it. Anyone who is stupid enough to lead cops on a high speed chase where they put hundreds of other peoples lives in danger don't deserve to live.

^^ Thats bullshit, If it was over here in Europe that cop could never ever work as a copever again, he would probobly go to jail as well... over here everybody are inocent until proven otherwise, that cop hasn't got the authoroty to judge anyone..

Two officers were in danger of being struck by the car and they shot and killed two persons inside the vehicle. Both cops were later acquitted in a trial because they were proofed to be in danger when it happened.

If the driver in the video had pulled an Uzi and killed both officers you would probably wonder why they didn’t kill him first.

Think about the split second decision a cop has to make using deadly force or perhaps loosing his own life. Wouldn’t you do anything in your power to survive?

think of it this way, if some drug crazed guy hadyou on his hood, you ending up there from him trying to run you oer, probably with intentions of severley harming you, you drawing your weapon then him trying to hit another vehicle to get rid of you, would you not pull the trigger to try save yourself and others?

yes, and i AM from europe,

thats why i cannot understand the act of cops in NA,
i don't think thats the best way they do it....

and i have to say that the whole situation was not very good visible in the video,

to me it looked like the cop jumped on the hood...

when the guy tried to run him over it also another story...

and how can you tell he took drugs etc. if you did not test it?

I read it in the local article. The driver died at the hospital. I assume they tested his blood before he died.

It did look like the cop jumped on the hood, better to go over than under.
