I love topgear but i honestly think they deserved it. how are you going to go into a foreign country insult its people and political figures and NOT expect its people to react the way they did. THEN you go and say that represents the whole country... Alabama is 100% different from NY as Cali is 100% from Illinois so how are you going to say all US is like that when only looking how 1 county reacted. shit go to FL and have "Hillary for president" and you will have dollar bills thrown at u instead of rocks. again they deserverd it.

They did go in there looking for a fight, but the things they wrote on the cars weren't that bad, the rest of the country says much worse things about alabama every day, at worst I would have expected someone to flip them the bird. When having nascar sucks or hillary for president gets a ****ing posse called to beat you up, you're in ****ing bizzarro world.
I know that if I ever have to drive through alabama I'll do it with my head down and a loaded shotgun next to me.

and toot, they never insulted any people or political figures, they said country and western music sucks, nascar sucks, hillary for president, and man love is ok. NOWHERE IN THERE did they says "alabama is filled with hillbilly backwards ass hicks who take dismissals of their entertainment and espousal of opposite political views as personal affronts" from watching that video, all that is so painfully obvious it didn't need to be said

I live in Alabama, headquarters to: NASA, and the Army Aviation and Missile Command. Anywhere in the world you can find a small town and provoke a violent reaction. We don't know what about that was real and what was staged, we don't know what conversations were edited out, hell some of the people there might have recognized Clarkson and decided that douche needed a beating, we don't know how many times they stopped to get that reaction. It is a television program, do you think they would get good ratings if nothing happenned.

It was funny, but not a true representation of all people in America. At least they have the freedom to do such things in this country!!!!

well it is an unfortunate thing down here. I am originally from wisconsin, moved here to NC because of the Marine Corps, and let me tell you, there is still a lot of southern pride type racism down here. I do not condone it, but it is here and I have seen it. It is not just against black folks, but all that are not from the south are included too. People have talked shit to me because they say I have a northern accent to my voice and want to start trouble w/ me and call me a yankee.

To those in the US thinking that the rest of the world will think all of America is like that, I think you need to wake up. The majority of the civilised world seems to know more about America than the general American population knows about anywhere else.
ie, when my mate was in America last year he was told by an American that he talked really good English..... for an Australian!!!!! The fools thought Spanish was spoken in Aus.... It seems that a decent majority of Americans- inland from coastal and holiday regions really have little idea of what goes on outside their little part of the world.

I think the problem with that sevpp is that america is kind of the hollywood of the world, everytime something happens in america, the world hears about it. I'm not saying that the idiot who thought spanish was the national language of australia should be forgiven because the rest of the world doesn't matter, but how much do people in australia know about thailand? nepal? armenia? norway? probably not as much as they know about america.
