thats the version that your american GTO is based on.
its a Holden Monaro and the pontiac crew did a bit of a number on the nose and made it ugly, the original nose, like fitted to this vehilce, looks far better.
and she's supercharged... mmm... looks like a starr performance kit.
there are a few companies in australia doing bolt on upgrade kits for these LS1 engines. www.capa.com.au have been supercharging them for a long time using vortech blowers.
now a workshop has one they've just finished... internally stock apart from new valve springs, twin turbo's and it made 550hp at the rear wheels... thats a stock internals engine.
they are definately the best old school V8 on the market here in australia.

They only got 550rwhp out of the tt setup? How much boost were they running?

Lingenfelter is making a twin turbo LS1 that puts out somewhere around 800 hp, at the crank. I think they stroked that one one though, so its not all stock internals. It runs 0-60 in 2.3, 1/4 in like 11.5 or something at 130+

i think the tt setup that makes 800 something hp is a 7.0L engine but i'm not sure, and i have read a 1/4 mile in the 9 sec range but that was in motor trend?

I'd say it was most likely Motor Trend, and I think you're right about it being 7.0 But I know it started at 5.7 before Lingenfelter worked his magic on it.
