That's the only thing i use GT3 for to drift. I wish i could transfer my videos to my computer but i don't know how. please tell me how u did it
![]() Usually I drift with around 350 to 450 hp depents on the car. manual trasmission, sport tires, suspension settings i ncrease camber about 2 degrees on front wheels and 1 degree on rear wheels, toe -2 degrees. TC off of course, and go!!, i whish i had some good competitor to play with since i don't have the internet thing for my ps2 and no1 else likes GT3 around me. ![]() Last edited by r34drifter; 13 Jul 2004 at 10:52 pm. |

drifting on GT3 is awesome fun... specially with the driving force pro steering wheel. makes it that much more challenging.
but drift wise here's what i use and do... a Toms Toyota Chaser thingo (its a big 4 door sedan that i won and they are quite popular for drift in japan) its got a longish wheel base so its reasonably easy to control every single engine mod you can do needs to be done, stage 4 turbo's the lot... it brings it upto about 700hp. driveline, do all that too, and put in the 2-way LSD differential... and the racing spec gearbox that you can adjust. using the auto settings of the box set it and keep trying till you achieve a max speed of about 260kph cause that'll give you decent gearing to smoke em up. suspension and brakes, do the best stuff you can... for the suspension settings i drop the ride height as low as it'll go, up the spring rate about 1 - 1.3kg/mm front and rear, the damping - i set the bump setting at about 5 and the rebound at about 7 and stabilisers are at 4 front and rear... this seems to have the car nice and stiff which is what you want for good drift. then using manual gearbox only... get on apricot hill and go sick. use some racing slicks on the front, and harder ones on the rear, but minimum of sports tyres cause they give you a bit more control than the road tyres. but those basic settings of the most power, good driveline, and stiff suspension are going to work in most cars (must be rear wheel drive - FR)... but for good easy drift you will need over about 400hp in GT mode i use the run and settings thing and with enough practice you can do some awesome sliding fun.... don't forget to use the handbrake to set it up into corners.
