what a car sounds like is just a matter of opinion anyways, so who gives a flying f*ck ??? Sound wont win you a race. Who wouldn't be biased twords their own countries cars anyways?? best sounding cars to me:

any small block chevy w/ a mid range cam and long tube headers

5.0L ford w/ a big cam and a h pipe set up.

but that is JUST MY OPINION.....he he he

Vipers have V10s, no comparison to a new V8 like in a Z06 Vette. plus they used an old clunky Superbird (cryslers were really cheap made back then) when they should have used a BB Chevelle or Cobra Stang. Just something with a good cam in it.

Another clip of the LG Motorsports Z06 ripping up a drag strip. BTW, this is a TRUE road course car, not a drag car.

http://media.putfile.com/LG-Motorspo...ns-104--140mph

Sorry good old American iron still has the tops for the most powerful v8 engines on the planet. Top. Fuel. Dragster. 8,000hp+ No one has topped that yet for a piston engine.

Flat plane cranks have that exotic sound, but give up a rougher idle and more noise and vibration. Thats why so many mfgs use crossplane cranks still.

Corsa Performance makes a cat-back for the C5 vette that sounds wicked.
