really? if gm can make a 70k zo6 whip a ferraris ass what do yo think would happen if there budget was 300k per car. the ford gt will whip a ferraris ass with less then half the cost. lol all you want. thats the truth/.

ford gt whip ferraris ass?hmm ok .its a good car but its no ferrari ,zonda or lambo.its nearly there but its not.and the ford GT is more from europe then america.and america should make a car that costs 300k and not be let down with cheap parts they make with there other cars they build

What does the price tag have to do with how fast a car is, or how good even?

the z06 was good against the old 575, havent hear of it beating a 599. A TVR Tuscan R can match a z06 and the price diference is much smaller. And the Ford GT (btw I think Clarkson owns one) got owned by a stock ferrari 360 in track tests even if it has an extra 1.8l, a supercharger and 100hp more than the 360.

The "american sound" can also be heard in a german Mercedes AMG, or in a E39 M5, in an Audi, Jaguar, etc. In any manufacturer with a powerful split crank V8

Like I said whats really in comparison is the flat crank vs split crank. Americans dont built any car with flat crank, while Ferrari, Lambo and Porsche (928) do. In fact the only prodution flat crank V8s in existence are european.

Americans do have supercars - mosler, saleen, panoz - wich make seriously fast cars and race winning cars, the thing is americans rather buy a gay bling Escalade or some gay convertible. If they are gonna buy a supercar they rather by a euro sports car just to show status, instead of buying a car just has nice built right there in their backyard.

And about aussie cars? The old commodore hsv gts-r beated the e39 m5 and the e55amg on the nurburgring, with much faster lap times - a good german opel omega chassis and raw V8 power it has the best of both sides of the atlantic.
