I'm all for this... but...

I have a friend with a EH2 Hatch. Thats a 1993 Civic. He has a B18C1, thats from an Integra GSR, and a turbo kit running 9psi. Want to guess what it runs? BTW, the B18C1 engine is stock stock stock.

(I also have a friend with a sleaved B18c1 that runs a 10.1 in ****ing Utah)

They are made for fuel economy. Not boosting or juicing. Just stop..... You ever wonder why in japan there are very little tuning shops for fwd hondas? B/C they know they are not a good platform to mod.... Of course you can make them fast... but c'mon. U can make just about any car out there run 10-11's.

My point exactly, why spend money on a Honda? Big mufflers, bigger wings and four gallons of primer gray on the flopping bumpers is stupid. If you want to go fast get a sports/muscle car, not a Honda and TRY to make it fast. :wtf:
I knew this thread would start some sh1t with ricers!

Though I'm no honda fan I give credit where it's due and with that said...

You neglect that some Honda's have excellent chassis'. I am of the opinion that people who take Fwd and make them into drag cars are morons. I think they are great mixed Daily Driver/fun backroad on occasion track day cars. The engines are no Offy or Big Block Chevy, they can make some very sporty engines that make an otherwise bland econobox quite fun to drive.

I would have no problem owning a K24 hybrid in an EG or EK hatch for a reliable, cheap, fun to drive daily driver. Damn thing would do over 30mpg, never break and be a riot on the backroads, and probably wouldn't be half bad at the drag strip.

With all that being said, I'd still rather own a 1972 Buick Riviera (boat tail) with a built 455 . It would just be properly suspended along with a kick ass engine/trans combo.

Ok, I'm not saying they're worth it... like I wouldnt ever modify a FWD car... but...

My friends Civic with a B18 + Turbo ran a 11.8 in LasVegas. But he's spent alot more money then I have on my 300ZX... but it is faster. He also still gets 35mpg...

Oh, and the body is stock, doesnt have a wing, has a stock looking muffler, has stock 13" wheels (not on the track) and doesnt have a woofers in the back seat. He, just like you, has a head on his shoulders and knows that he just wants to go fast. And 11.8 on a stock motor... I'll say thats fast.

Just remember there is a big difference between ricers and import enthusiasts. Can do it tastfully or extremely tacky with body kits etc. I prefer imports for the handling capabilities. But I still HATE HONDAS except the RWD models.
