Thumbs up BMW M3 vs Skyline @ the Nurburgring

This shows how perfectly detailed and realistic GT4 is. A lap by Hans Stuck (I have no idea who he is) in his M3 vs Gran Turismo 4 Skyline GTR.

You can see the difference in the really driver to the gt4 driver in how they apex.
Race car driver = Later apex = slow in, fast out
GT4 teenage driver = early apex = fast in, slow out.

See the difference?

that is an m3 gtr wich is vastly superior to a stock skyline gtr. the skyline seems to have very soft shocks, when he brakes the car dives forward a lot. This leads me to believe the rest of the car is stock so there is no way he could corner as well as he was doing. If the car is indeed stock, it further proves how unrealistic the game actually is (something i already believed), he should have been left way back.

There's no way that skyline was stock, look how fast it accelerated. His shocks were probably soft because you gain a ton of speed on that track and with stiff shocks you end up flying off the course, unless your car has a lot of downforce. You also have to take into account that the BMW could not go all out because of much slower moving cars on the track. I would be driving a little slower too, don't want to rear end somebody doing 150 mph.

I do agree with you though about the game not being realistic. Even GT3 had more realistic handling characteristics for the car than GT4. Especially the AWD cars.

That video was pretty awesome though, the detail in the game is awesome, even a lot of the bushes and tree's are the same...

the vid looks like he did some power mods on the skyline and the car dives because he is slamming the brakes on. also lol ive tried forza and in m opinion GT4 is a much better game. the kid in the vid did a good job of not spinning it though

To each his own I guess.

I used to love GT3 and GT4 is great also but if I had to choose I would take GT3 or Forza over GT4 any day.

I agree that GT3 as well as Forza are more fun to play, but that doesnt mean that forza is more realistic/better-made than GT4

Hans Stuck is an expert on the ring... he has been driving it since he was in his early teens. He went on to drive in various cars, being an F1 driver for a short time. As for the video i did that with the M3 GTR and the videos were very similar, i was quicker but im sure that was just a flaw in the game

The M3 GTR has oogles of torque. This is what makes it dominate. Do not underestimate torque.
