Yeah, the dyno had a lot to do with him breaking those straps... oh wait no it didn't, that probably would have been a function of mad torque and crappy straps. Yeah, that's the ticket.

The dyno itself broke and when it did it stopped the roller's on the dyno. But still those strap's look pretty chessy to begin with.

Being a portable dyno or a fixed dyno has no bearing on the car breaking its straps. Nylon straps are a wear item. They have periodic replacement and inspection intervals. That being said, the reason that car came loose is probably due to poorly maintained straps or not using enough of them to hold all that torque causing them to snap. Depending on how much power you're putting down dictates how many straps you'll need to hold the car down. Now that you've been schooled you can go STFU.

It's awfully cute how you stand up for you boys and defend them so. I'm not trying to battle with ya'll I'm just stating facts and saying that it would be pretty hard for that cars exhaust to melt through the rear straps with that side exhaust setup. Its the dyno operators responsibility to ensure they use the correct straps for the application and that they are in good shape. This isn't the first time a car has broken straps on a dyno and it won't be the last.

P.S. Don't believe everything you read on the web. Just because somebody speculates on a forum(see post 6 and 9) doesn't mean its true......Peace out.
