Friend of friend had the same thing happen over the summer.
Dumbass takes his low 9 second car ( 87 z28 ) out for a spin after putting in a new tranny.
forgets to install the scatter shield.

2 people in the car. The tranny come through the consul, The motor lodged into the passenger legs.

result, driver got hit by debris, passenger 2 broken legs. car is fubar
